2009 Syracuse Film Festival

Welcome to the Video Postcard Web page of the 2009 Syracuse Film Festival.

This year we invite high school students from around the world to send us their views, comments and reviews of movies that they have seen that they would recommend to others. We are particularly interested in films that are independently produced and not commonly screened in theaters. We hope that in this way people can get a better understanding of movies being seen around the world and what people are enjoying.

Please feel free to email your comments to syrvpp@gmail.com and we will post them as quickly as we can.

What Its All About

Students from six different schools in four different countries are making videos that highlight their neighborhoods. Read more about it here.

We will post their submissions on this site under their various schools, and open a comments section under each school, so people from everywhere can comment and talk about what they have seen.

We are hoping that this leads to friendships being created and photos from these (and other) places being submitted to this site that we will post as we recieve them.

We also invite student essays and poetry about life in their communities and schools. We ask that all material submitted be original.

Please email all submissions to syrvpp@gmail.com
